Just heard that Ka died. One of the greatest rappers ever. RIP

NP The Thief Next To Jesus.

Anyone going to GZA in the music centre tonight? He's doing liquid swords in full.

Anybody go to Nas last night? It was the 30th anniversary tour for Illmatic. Good show but he did the very same irritating thing that the Clan always do. Playing bits and pieces of songs instead of the full thing. The tour was advertised as Illmatic in full. The original album with no bonus tracks clocks in at just under 40min and he got through it in just over 30mins which was pretty annoying.

He was doing Life's a Bitch then just after the first chorus he starts into the world is yours. I will never understand this because I can't imagine any fan of any artist would want this over playing the original songs in full. The setlist was about 25 songs I would have much preferred if he did 12 - 13 full songs. But other than that a very enjoyable night.

GZA 2 weeks ago did every lyric and note from liquid swords which is the way it should be done. He had a full band playing with him who really added a lot to the show.

It was good to see Nas have a live drummer on stage too. I got the feeling he wasn't full sure of where he was because I didn't hear him say Dublin or Ireland until he was walking off stage, even in the middle of the set he stopped to say how much he loved this place and could live here but never once said Ireland or Dublin

I enjoyed hearing Illmatic even if it was to an editing extent but in general I'd prefer to just listen to the album when it comes to hip hop gigs.

He had 3 auto ques on stage with Dublin, Ireland at the top at all times between songs so I did think that whole "I'd live here bit..." odd.

The live here bit must be just something he is saying at every show on the tour. I really enjoyed the partial Mobb Deep cover he did last night.

Hopefully he comes back with an It Was Written 30th anniversary show in 2 years.

The crowd seemed to do most of the Mobb Deep track.

Without a doubt the best to ever do it. He played the Button Factory back in May and it was amazing. Got to meet him after it. Both him and his wife couldn't have been any nicer.

Ah nice one. He was here in Granada recently but could not go for work reasons, was raging. Recent work not all that impressive though,  anything from BDP days up to his solo career
reaching 1997 is essential.

Yeah he did a whole 2 and a half month Europe tour. The new album he released just before the tour is good. I enjoyed the few previous ones as well. The latest one was just a youtube upload I haven't seen any physical release for it yet. Yes up to and including I got next is the best stuff for sure.
