I'd paypal you a few bob for em, I still buy the oul CDs

Nah, yer grand. PM me your address and I'll throw them in the post when I'm in town - might be next week.

Gave the evening listening to these lads, 3 albums in a row and not a bad song between them. Reminded me of Killing Joke in a lot of places and I knew way more of the songs than I thought I did. fair fuckin pain in the head today after 3 albums worth of cans though

G'wan, what muck were ya drinkin?

12 pack of Excelsior and a small bit of gin to round it off. Only the most noble of beverages for a discerning jakey such as myself

So your night cost less than a fiver. Good man...  8)

Jaysus, gin and The Cure, there's a cheerful evening.

Even in my younger days drinking whatever shite I could get my hands on I still couldn't hack Excelsior, fair play! 😂

Ah the oul Excelsior is grand. It even has a sort of a crest with a knightly looking broadsword on it and a noble sounding name. What could possibly go wrong? Might only listen to the one album tonight though, give myself a chance for work in the morning. Now which of the three albums will set me off least on the drink. Faith, I think. Ah who am I kidding, I'll be drinking anyway

Listening to Seventeen Seconds and Faith again today. Really let these lads pass me by over the years for no particular reason. Is there any point where the quality drops down over the years? Want to pick up some more stuff.

Wild Mood Swings isn't great but apart from that, they're generally good. If I had to pick a cut-off point it'd be after Wish, up to and including that they're great.

Having said that, I'm not a fan of Three Imaginary Boys - it was released in the U.S. with a different tracklist as Boys Don't Cry, and that version's excellent.

So far I've gotten to know 5 albums and the quality has been top notch throughout. Not one tune I don't like on any of them. Going to hop over to amazon now and see what's doing up as far as Wish. Will keep the Boys Don't Cry version in mind while I'm at it. I know I could just look the albums up on YT or whatever but it's way more fun diving into a band and having the albums coming as fresh, unheard physical copies.

Edit: Picked up The Top, Kiss Me... and Disintegration and not even 20 quid for the three of em. Grand job. I know Disintegration very well but didn't have a CD of it so that's a definite winner and the other two I haven't a notion what's on em and didn't even look at the track list so surprises will surely abound

This is a great tune that was a bside to Faith or something.

The Top is underrated, an almost psychedelic album. Kiss Me... is more upbeat than a lot of their stuff, and certainly compared to Disintegration which followed it. All good.

It was the score to a film they played before gigs, one of their brothers made the film I think. Great track.
