Won't make this, going to Sinéad O'Connor in Dublin the night after, can't manage both (between work & family stuff). Tempted to push it but I like having a job/roof over my head.

Anyone know of any companies doing later busses back to Cork? Last Bus Eireann is 20:20, and I'm having a shite time getting work off the next day. Would ideally like to drink guilt free for a bit, get to see Tribulation and get a bus back by midnight. I can happily suffer the consequences the next day.

There should be a Limerick to Cork direct train going around 22.30 most Sundays looking at Irish Rail's website but it's being a bit odd for that particular day - slightly later time and no tickets available yet.  Look at it again in a few days and it should let you buy them.  Tickets are decent price booked in advance and there should be no changes.

Ah you'd get a good nine hours of a siege at least!

To be fair the late routes between Limerick & Cork, both ways, are shite.  Plenty of gigs I would have went down and back to in Cork in the last while but the last bus or train back is no later than 21.00 too, so completely unusable.

Good man!

Yeah just a 22:15 now with no tickets available. That'd suit me fine. Seeing Tribulation at Ghost anyway so it won't be too shabby. Most of my post midnight activity at the last Siege involved falling over on the slippy floors upstairs constantly.

Any good record shops near Dolans worth checking out?

Steamboat is about a two minute walk away and has a pretty decent mix of stuff, worth checking out if you're in town.

Train tickets departing Limerick Colbert station at 22:50 on the night now on sale, for anyone looking to get back to Cork just after midnight. Well happy with that. Hope the train shows up. Seems too good to be true!

I was raging I couldn't get the Monday off but that's my ten and a half hours of Siege sorted.

I had planned to go to this but... Sinéad O'Connor's doing a second date in Vicar Street the following night. Sorry, no contest. ☹

This is creeping up fast, luckily have tickets for the Saturday night gig in the church which will be special.

Aye, creeping on now. I've started my traditional pre Siege homework in work this week.

Mostly looking forward to:

Tribulations
Gealach
Coltsblood
Coscradh
Stonecarver
Dictated
Everest Queen
Bisect
Imrama

Coscradh and Bisect in particular I've not had the pleasure of seeing before, and sound like they'll be absolute carnage. Coscradh are right up my alley. Hopefully I'll catch both before needing to split before midnight. They do seem like the kind of bands they'd bang on towards the end.

Then again Unyielding Love went on early enough in the evening back in Easter, and I'd hold them up as the previous Siege's "we're all standing here to see something really mental" act.

Bisect are a fantastic live band.
Seriously underrated, IMO.

Stonecarver aren't playing. They packed it in a couple weeks ago. Flashpoint replaced them.

Big time. Absolutely ferocious.

Timetables are out so I've been going through a few more  :abbath:.

Looking forward to Vircolac, Organ Blender and Psykosis now as well. Psykosis seem like proper Municipal Waste esque pit bait, and I do like at least one band on the day with a fair bit of shoving.

Can't wait for this.
