Great news! Never could get into anything beyond Aftertaste but first few records are classics.  Only saw em once and had to go to a Slipknot gig in order to even do that so will defo hit this.

Only caught them once are Sunstroke 94. Savage gig. I remember tyre crowd getting fairly rambunctious.

Lol, it was the mid 2000's and it seemed like my only chance to see them so I took it! Wasn't ideal circumstances but still best band of the night! I think Shadows Fall also played.

Yep, I also went to that Slipknot gig just to see Helmet it was summer 2005........

Shadows Fall were muck. Helmet were fucking awesome but unfortunately very few appreciated them so it wasn't a great experience.

I could take Slipknot for what they are, there's some good stuff on the first four records but all their performance did that day was to prove how much of a stunt the band are. Utterly phoned in  and Joey Jordisons drumming was abysmal. The amount of double kicks missed glaringly obvious.


Can't reiterate how good the Helmet gig in Whelans was two years though, Hamilton hung around after too until he signed everything or took a picture with anyone who wanted one.

Very happy about this. If they could keep post-Aftertaste material to a minimum, that would be even better.

Last time the bulk of the set was just that. Think we got two from Size Matters and five or so from  Dead to the world.
