Watching the Chelsea game last night and fair enough they were fucking chronic at the back but what's the point of var if it can't pick up that the striker is pulling the defender down by the arm? Surely a free out and a yellow for simulation is in order there? I just wonder what's the fucking point of looking at it at all if it's going to be ignored anyway.

On another note there has been some cracking memes from the Liverpool v United game the other night

Azpilicueta was all over Saka, no doubt it was penalty. I'd be more wondering what the point of var since Mount was allowed stay on the pitch after a studs to the shin tackle on Cedric

VAR seems to be more concerned with protecting refs. If the ref makes a major, major fuck up, var sees nothing, no action. Always.
Marginal decision, though? Oh yeah, but we're just helping the ref here, wasn't his fault he missed it.

And sooner Pogba and his agent fuck off and infects another team, the better.  Fucking vermin. And a few more out the door behind him.

How is it a pen when the defender gets dragged down by the arm? Could say clever play by the striker (given azpilicueta was on the wrong side of him) if there was no var but there is. Not sour grapes either, Chelsea were stone useless and deserved the loss especially with the team they put out but that pen was stupid. Then again look at the shit that goes on in the box for every free or corner and var has no interest in any of it. I supported it being introduced too but I don't think it's working because instead of arguing about ref decisions it's arguing about var. Maybe it'll iron itself out but it's not great fun as it is.

And you're right about mount as well

Jaysus those Everton fuckers are some bais.

Happy to see Liverpool win that one. Keeps the league interesting although a lot can happen in a few games

I still think City will win their last games but it makes it interesting alright.

Liverpool will probably win theirs too.

I think it's hard to see either losing or drawing. I'm hoping Liverpool do it but if they do that well and still come second then it can only be well done city.

Hopefully they'll be too distracted to think about the fa cup

Reece James asking for Ronaldo's shirt during the game last night was pretty funny

Mino Raiola has actually died for real this time. Haaland's price tag probably just dropped by 30 million.

What happened to him, heart attack?

Surprised there's no quadruple talk as it's looking very possible they are going to pull it off which was unthinkable and an unbelievable achievement.

As much of a brilliant story it would be, I don't see City "slipping up" vs Villa. If it were to happen, I think Stevie G's reaction would end up as iconic as Aguerro's goal when City pipped Utd. Still, 2 trophies already is a superb achievement and I fancy them against Real.

Here's hoping Frankfurt can piss on the Rangers parade this evening.
