Don't worry, Trump is smart and will save us all.

People think China is a problem too but somebody pointed out that do you think the Chinese government is going to let AI have more power and rights than it gives its own citizens?

I mentioned it a while back in aother thread but my mate sent me a message in mid August that he had got laid off because of AI. He's smart with computers, has a first in it so hopefully will get something but theres probably tonnes of competition for software posts.

Picked this up last year in airport before heading off on hols (not the most appropriate poolside read tbh, but it held my attention), worth a look if anyone interested in the background to AI. Fairly readable from a layman's perspective

Yes, thanks also to unimaginative people using it to generate resource-burning AIslop videos just to tell old and obvious jokes.

As to whether it is going to loom larger and larger, in its current form that may not be materially possible:

Think I mentioned it before in the are we all fucked thread but I watched a video before of a guy that did a deep dive into the sources quoted for a bunch of AI generated articles where the information was clearly wrong and found that the source was always from another AI generated article. Dead internet for all  :vomit:

Have had a gawk a couple of times, asking AI fairly foundational questions on the topic I research and it straight up fabricates nonsense, referencing academic articles on entirely different topics that straight up don't contain any information relating to what is asked. Fairly useless for anything beyond common knowledge type queries in mg experience.
