Just throwing up here that I didn't buy any of the tickets the boys are selling because I needed two together.

In case the thread makes it look like they got sold and somebody else got put off thinking they were gone

The first part of that was excellent - haven't laughed that hard in a long time.....

The second part dragged on way too long though....

First time in the Ambassador - the girls working there said they are open to having metal gigs there again... Kept thinking what it must have been like seeing Slayer there back in the day!!!!!

Saw Slayer there with Mastodon supporting, still have the ticket stub signed by Brent. Saw Megadeth there too but can't remember who was supporting.

Megadeth was Diamond head one occasion and Priestess the other. Was at the Slayer and Megadeth gigs there but tonnes more Deftones, Def Leppard, Pitchsifter, Anthrax Tomahawk

Saw Fear Factory and Deftones there back in the 2000s. Why did they stop doing the metal gigs?

Was at a few shows in the Ambassador Downs first Irish gig in 06 and then again in 08, Hatebreed, Audioslave, Machine Head, Dirty Sanchez and Slayer. It was a great venue in the perfect location.

Was it not turned into some sort of theatre for exhibits and they stopped doing all types of gigs?

It's changed a lot over the years, it was a cinema when I lived in Dublin. Saw QOTSA there at one stage, brought a mate's younger brother to CKY another time.

Just put up a ticket for the Belfast gig on ticketmaster

It was down to the noiseand the smoking area complaints from the hospital so standing gigs are a no go.

It's a shame as it was fucking outstanding for gigs.

It was meant to be converted into Dublin's Central library so everything in there for over ten years was "just this once while we wait for stuff to get started"but that never happened
