Amen to that. Never got the buzz of listening to lads who barely know how to hold their instruments trying to write music. The drumming on INRI in particular is fucking embarrassing.

Ah Ducky, we all know M. Pinkerton Von Poloneck could run rings around DD Crazy on the drum kit, but give me the explosive helldrums every time. Unfettered spirit of metal > earphone wearing click track wankery 4 eva  8)

Without question.

Well yeah, but hook it up like Igor did back then. Lad was obliterating his drumkit unga-bunga metal style, but he also learned to play it 8)

Sarcofago's lad sounds like he picked up the sticks for the first time a week before he entered the studio.

In keeping with the thread, Witchunter's drumming on those first few Sodom albums is leagues ahead of what was happening with Sarcofago, and the music still sounds feral.

I would watch it.

Probably listened to Agent Orange most over the years, Remember the Fallen and the title track being my favourites. Better Off Dead and M-16 are the only post Agent Orange albums I own.  Don't think you can go wrong with any of their 80's output.

In The Sign Of Evil and Obsessed By Cruelty are amazing , Better Off Dead too.

In the sign, INRI and bestial devastation unlistenable?!?!? This place should change its name to Poser Warfare  >:(  >:(  Chaotic incompetent fury til dessssss  :abbath:

Crust and Hate have always been the best Sarcofago releases.

There's a video on YouTube of Sodom playing the Rock Hard festival in 23- Savage stuff altogether.....

A drummer struggling to keep up is the key ingredient for most proper thrash.

In the case of Obsessed it's more the others are trying to keep up with him, which is why it sounds so absolutely feral. Same with Pleasure to Kill and Terrible Certainty actually. I imagine amphetamines were quite popular with German thrash drummers in the mid 80s,and I'm delighted that was the case.
