Quote from: Don Gately on July 15, 2025, 08:54:32 AMJust wondering if anyone knows how this is selling? Alot of backlash rightfully aimed at the singer after Sabbath gig hard to see the crowds flocking

The lower tier of seats was sold out for ages (although I've just looked and it seems that a couple rows of VIP have been released at normal prices), but strangely the promotors seem to have not bothered opening any of the upper blocks of seating. I think standing has been available the whole time, and still is.

Wondering if they're just gonna stick to the smaller capacity setup and hope the gig passes as quietly as possible cause there's doubtlessly going to be some small crowd gathering around the venue on the night with Palestinian flags etc.

Anyway pretty strange package because Megadeth probably could have sold that many tickets in the downsized 3 arena setup on their own.

I'd no interest in this really, but got a free ticket so I'll head along for Megadeth. As soon as they're finished I'll be off, hoping a lot of the crowd will do the same

QuoteLatest is he picked a fight with Morello

Worthy opponent, another fucking arsehole.

Quote from: jobrok1 on July 15, 2025, 10:38:54 AMWould be some craic if most of the crowd walked out after Magadeth.  :abbath:
Maybe and opportunity for a decent rival gig somewhere to catch some stray punters.

It would be very funny if a Disturbed cover band played on the same night and everybody went to it   :abbath:

Hard to think of something worse than seeing Disturbed but there it is.

Megadave to bald Dave, "There was this one time, in Belfast in 1988,  I went political"

After David Draiman called Tom Morello "shameful" for supporting Kneecap, the Irish hip-hop trio responded by dubbing the Disturbed singer a "straight up cunt."

100% agree.

  I like them young lads, they've got balls

Be amazed to see what type of crowd turns up to the Disturbed gig and what kind of pre gig media promotion there will be.

Morello recently told The Strombo Show, "I mean, they're clearly the Rage Against The Machine of now. Like, there's them and there's a gap to the next one. ... What they're doing in their art is what people could probably stand to do more in their lives: to really speak truth to power. And, you know, Kneecap are not terrorists."

Not a kneecap fan but I have admiration for them.Draiman isn't going to win this media battle.
