It's not even an important nu-metal album, nevermind beyond that scope.

A mate of mine used to listen to it all the time. I had veered into more underground territory in my listening habits by then and found it really fucking awful to listen to. Even by nu metal standards it was pretty bad. I remember the production being really weak, with thin wimpy sounding guitars. If you put it next to a Korn,  Deftones or SOAD production it sounded quite lifeless. And the songs were desperate. I haven't heard it since back then but I can't imagine it has aged well. I was watching Rick Beato dissecting Freak On A Leash by Korn the other day and it struck me how complex their music was/is. The production on Follow the Leader is quite impressive. I wonder if I could get through the entire album these days... it's on the shelf... maybe....

Disturbed were even more embarrassing than their counterparts.

Never liked Follow the Leader, they had run their course for me at that stage, but went back to Life Is Peachy a few years ago and it was ridiculous.

Particularly galling is how much of a Christian it's lead singer claims to be yet he's signing bombs to drop on innocent people.

Ridiculous as in terrible? I used to enjoy it from time to time. Reminded me of JK on the radio, where I first heard it as a teen and thought it was deadly.

Ya, utter shite. Nostalgia couldn't save it. May give it another lash though at some point.

All day I dream about sex. I appreciate the sentiment but as a song title... heavens above!

Just wondering if anyone knows how this is selling? Alot of backlash rightfully aimed at the singer after Sabbath gig hard to see the crowds flocking

They'd make more money charging lads not to go.

He seems to be public enemy no1 in the rock/metal world right now, you'd imagine it has impacted sales big time.

I wouldn't be surprised if this got cancelled. Draiman probably thinks Ireland is a Hamas hotbed. If Megadeth come over anyway I won't give a shite.

Were Disturbed ever big over here? I confess, their US success baffles me but I don't recall them ever being a big thing outside the US in the way Korn or Linken Park were.

I never listened to them whereas I did listen to the first few Korn and Slipknot albums even though I thought Nu-Metal was shite back in the day.

You'll still probably get a decent crowd at this, moreso for MegaDave.
But I really can't see how Disturbed are that big of a draw for it.

Sure, weren't there fellas earlier in the is thread saying they don't support Draimen and Co. but will still go for Megadeth. Paying to go for Megadeth is still paying Disturbed to turn up.

Would be some craic if most of the crowd walked out after Magadeth.   :abbath:
Maybe and opportunity for a decent rival gig somewhere to catch some stray punters.

Yeah id love to see Megadeth agaon and bring the young lad but fuck thst I'm not supporting this guy.
Id say there will be issues throughout Europe too with sales.
