That's if you include IRA members blown up by their own bombs, killed as informers and Official IRA/IPLO members. Take them out and the number drops dramatically. Regardless, loyalist paramilitaries killed far more Catholics.

Anyway, it's amazing how far Megadeth have dropped in status. They played the Point twice (91 and 92) and the 3Arena in 2015 (although that was with Lamb of God and Children of Bodom as support) and namechecked in The Van. While never as big as Metallica, they did have a mainstream cache that the likes of Slayer didn't have. And yet Slayer became the bigger draw over time whereas Dave and co. slowly slipped down the festival billings. I even recall Feeder (yes, the Welsh band) headlining Download with Megadeth below Garbage and Dinosaur Jr.

Disturbed were and always will be shite.

Ffs. What a weird pairing. Certainly don't wanna give any money to that Zionist prick.

Don't see any parallels to our own history and the suffering inflicted on this land?!

I've fuck all interest in seeing Disturbed and I love Megadeth but I wouldn't be forking out just to see a shortened support set from them.

Source?

I think MegaDave's prolific output over the years (compared to Metallica/Slayer anyway) ultimately worked against him, the other two can cash in on the nostalgic or casual fan with material that vaguely resembles/self-plagiarises their classic material once a decade, followed by a highly lucrative 'might be your last chance' world tour, whereas Dave has spent nearly 3 decades churning out mostly poor albums every 2-3 years like clockwork.

You can admire the work ethic, but he could have really just taken the best three tracks each from United Abominations, Endgame, Thirteen etc to actually make a decent record.

I was saying  to someone after the Pantera show I couldn't be arsed  to see the likes of Megadeth going through the motions after a show like that. So  I definitely won't be paying a 100 euro to see them play a support slot. Now if Slayer  were to announce a gig it might be a different story.

Id have normally turned a blind eye to a genocidal sympathiser for the sake of a good night!,not anymore!

Disturbed's crimes against music far outweigh their crimes against humanity.

Megadave looks like an alzheimer's victim shuffling around in his pyjamas the last few years. He used to look cool and got away with not doing much on-stage, but now he looks lost and bewildered.

Dave really does shuffle around now in similar style to how Ozzy used to walk. The amount of drugs it took to melt their heads to that point must be something else.

230 comments on The DME FB page, never seen anything even close to that before after a gig announcement!

Tbh I have never listened to Disturbed,(bar hearing their main tracks).Id no idea about your man signing the missile until a few buddies mentioned it in a WhatsApp group!

First I heard about it was in this this thread. It's silly and funny, nothing more. If he had signed a Palestinian rocket he'd be considered a hero

No doubt. And if it was reversed etc.

It's not heroic. It's not a hate crime. It's just silly.

If it was reversed? So if someone signed a Hamas rocket in the knowledge that Hamas was actively using those same rockets to maim and kill thousands of Israeli children? Yeah, that person would also be a psycho, and that even if they'd mentally re-labelled those children "human shields." Like I said, there's no need to get into, much less try to reverse, the details of either Middle Eastern or Irish history to conclude that it's a psychotic (much more than "just silly") thing to do.
