I hate Christmas and try my best to avoid everything to do with it... but every year without fail I either buy the Iron Maiden calender or the Tolkien calender to give to my mother so she can give me something on Christmas Day or whenever she sees me.  This year it was the Tolkien calender.

Return of unquestionable presents.
I got that pre-Scald on CD, rough and catchy stuff.
Got sports headphones from one of the kids.
Organic cotton undies and a travel pillow from the missus.

Electric bass strings (I have an acoustic bass) regular guitar strings (I only play 12 strings) and Metallica 72 seasons on vinyl. The woman doesn't know me at all.

As far as music goes (because I'm sure you lot don't want to hear about my new Tina O' Brien novelty underpants) I got A Blaze In The Northern Sky on vinyl, Saxon- Forever Free on vinyl and, curiously, the new one from Pentagram (Chile) on cd which I had the pleasure of taking back to bed there for a few hours after the early start with the daughter. It's alright, base level Celtic Frost worship , nothing to threaten the list of favourites I'll be putting up tonight hopefully. Anyway, Happy Xmas the lot of ye, slainte!
