We had a hotel around the quays, 3 stops away from the venue on the tram line. Was 370 euro for 3 nights, including breakfast for 2 people. Which I thought was good value. Hotel was a little old fashioned but clean & comfortable (Copthorne Salford Quays).

Loved Stampin Ground, the crowd was wild and the frontman did a great job. Raging Speedhorn always good fun. Messa and Castle Rat, a nice bit of doom.
Agree about OVerhead the Albatros, really good set, comes across very well live. Wormrot was probably my highlight of Saturday, great energy.
Sunday had a ton of good stuff, missed some bands as I was too tired

Jesus that was some craic. Already got my tickets for next year in the bag
Drummer - WORN OUT, UNCULTIVATES, Low Violent
Owner - Dead Cult Promotions
Co-host - The Metal Cell Podcast
Live Band Bookings - Dali, Cork

Also, and sorry if this spoils someone's announcement later this week, Ian from Stampin' Ground said they're playing Dublin, Cork and Belfast next year (Dublin on 1 August), so there is that to look forward to

That will be brilliant of they come back here.

Bought a ticket for Knuckledust, Stampin Ground, Born From Pain and others today.
It's next June in London.
Should be full of gimps doing gymnastics but the lineup is killer.

Happy days seeing Born from Pain in Nancy's. Pure Bolt Thrower riffage.

Stampin Ground played Cork a few times as well IIIRC. Nancys and upstairs in The Grand Parade?

Didn't Stampin Ground play Fred's sometime in the late 90s? Vague memory of that being my first metal gig.

I definitely saw Born From Pain in Fredz.
I thought Stampin Ground played The Phoenix?

I guess they both played here a few times then! Maybe both played that night in Nancy's, where I got the Born from Pain tape. I was back and forth with another gig in the Wolfgound the same night anyway - Halfmast maybe?

Born From Pain supported Hatebreed in Nancys for definite.
Medulla Nocte played The Phoenix as well I'm sure.

I wasnt at either, but SG definitely played the Phoenix; and im sure they played one of those Fuck jazz weekends in Fredz?.

I wasnt really into hard-core but regretted not going to those gigs after.SG one of the few bands from that genre I actually liked.

Yeah Medulla Nocte played the phoenix around that time too.A sweaty night from what I can remember lol.

If I recall correctly Stampin Ground played Fredz in Cork either 99 or 2000. I was at it after a long bus down from Ros with Nerdlinger and a few other local punks. It was called Fuck Witness as I think it was on the same weekend as a Guinness sponsored event at Slane or whatever that the whole country was going to. It was a good laugh but it's probably the last time I listened to Stampin Ground

Stampin Ground came over with Unite and played the 2nd night (I think) of the Fuck Witness Weekender in Freds, they previously played An Phoenix with 2000 Strong and Ten Point Rule, both gigs absolutely mental.

The Born From Pain gig was Nov 2002 supporting Hatebreed in Nancy Spains, we opened for them but also played a gig across the road in The Wolfhound that night, it was [r]evolution of a sun, not Half Mast @snare. Potatoe Potatoe.

As for Born From Pain playing Freds, that was July 2005,  local supports only I remember.
