Quote from: Halo on September 09, 2025, 09:55:12 AMYeah NoS is always on the Friday beforehand, it's almost grown into its own thing at this stage

There is a Damnation Festival Forum on Facebook, Gav posted an update about 5 days ago there with the details.

The venue only has a capacity of 450 so they expect it to sell out pretty quickly even without bands confirmed.

He also said it would be about £35
ok thanks, not on FB so it's hard to check.

Tickets for that show are up at 10am tomorrow.

Suddenly find myself off the hook for anything I was supposed to be doing next weekend so will probably end up in a frenzy of booking and buying this evening to make it over. Never been before but heard mostly positives about it as an event.

If you're within decent distance Knock's had decent flights to Manchester recently and I think it alligns with Damnation

I'll be coming from Cork and it's looking like 17 quid each way, lol

That's fecking mad! Nice one indeed, enjoy.

off to Manchester this evening, should be a good laugh.
Any good metal bars to have a pint in tonight?

Meryl Streek is a serious pivot, I doubt hes helping shift any tickets

I think Pig Destroyer have been on the lineup and had to pull out twice I think, raging speedhorn are regulars, been a few years since primordial, id go Just cause gavs a legend and the price is exceedingly reasonable
Play the Academy July 13th

Was at this yest, mainly for Brodequin who were incredible. Portrayal of Guilt also cool enough. Stage/lighting deadly in fairness.

Waiting for the plane back to Dublin.
It's a great festival, really well organised, good food and beer options, everything runs like clockwork with the bands starting and finishing. Sound seemed good every where. All the punters were sound. Would deffo recommend it to anyone here for the future.
Anaal Nathrakh were cool, delighted to see them finally.

Organisation is always spot on. One band ends and the next starts on another stage straight away. Highlights were Castle Rat and Deafheaven from the Saturday and definitely Spectral Wound, Warning on the Sunday. Always great to hear Anaal Nathrakh's Forward!

Had an amazing weekend at this, whoever was doing the sums fucking nailed it, no wait for pints, food, or the jacks at any point, despite the huge number of people.

Saw some really incredible shit both days, highlights have to be Wormrot, Deafheaven, Portrayal of Guilt, Conjurer at 12:30 on a Sunday, Amenra (just another level of heaviness) and Pig Destroyer. Was excellent seeing Matt Pike do his thing in the flesh also, High on Fire really went down a treat. I'm really leaving so much out at that even, that's how great it was.

Is accommodation easy to get?

You have the whole of Manchester to choose from, it's never going to be cheap with two Premier League teams in town but if you plan you can get a hotel room for about £100 a night.

My 13th Damnation and it was a cracking festival, my highlights were Stampin' Ground (both sets), Portrayal of Guilty, Conjurer (again both sets), Deafheaven and Primordial. I thought Raging Speedhorn played two blinding sets and Overhead, The Albatross surprised me.

I will probably do the blind buy/installment plan again when they go on sale (tomorrow).
