It's well worth a spin or two if you are partial to a bit of Biohazard. It's good even without the ethereal wisps of Pete Steele to round it out

There's career changes and then there`s that  ???

Quote from: Eoin McLove on November 23, 2024, 10:08:56 PMDespite the silliness I bought RRR and have been listening to it a lot the past few days. I can hear certain parallels with Type O that weren't apparent to me back in the 90s, despite loving October Rust. Pretty damn cool album.

The drum tone on RRR sounds , to me, exactly like the drum tone on BK by Type O. Loud with a lot reverb.

Absolutely. Even some of the drum patterns/ fills are identical. He has a unique style without a doubt. But I'm referring also to the style of riffs. The big Sabbath grooves mixed with breakdowns, the melodic,  dramatic vocals and then gang chants lobbed in here and there. The gloomy HC and poppy mix is heavily Type O inspired yet they arrived at their own sound despite those parallels.

Sal Abruscato played on both RRR and BK. The feel bad to be transferred between both albums either on purpose or by accident.

This is a nice touch. Quite from Billy Graziadei's Facebook:

Are many going to this?
The first band that's been added are pure scutter. Can't remember their name but it's awful.

Seriously considering heading along but Life of Agony will be given a miss. Could never fathom the fuss over RRR in 1996 and things haven't changed in the intervening decades. Any idea of stage times? Trying to plan around public transport and see if it's doable.

I watched a few songs from a recent Biohazard set the other night and they are unreal. For a bunch of old farts they still give it 100%. Total energy. Watching Bobby ripping out solos and spinning around at, what, 50 odd? 60? Some buck.

Doors 6pm
LYLVC 6.50
LOA 7.40
Biohazard 9.20
(subject to change)

An early finish suits for the public transport.
The Biohazard gig that went up on YouTube last week or so is brilliant.

I have a spare ticket on sale for €25, it's on Ticketmaster.

Just sold.

Thanks for the offer but won't know until Sunday if I'll be heading. Trying to fit in around a few local GAA matches. Enjoy the gig!

No problem, I moved it!

Onyx (Kern Little from the Shield and Bird from the Wire) are playing in the Music centre Sunday night as well who are on Judgement Night. Would have been great if both shows could have been combined. Onyx's style of rap would go down really well with the Biohazard crowd Half thinking of even going to Onyx over this.

Any idea of stage times for Belfast? DME page just says 'local pages' but the Limelight are a bit useless at that.
