"I can't even begin to tell you how many side effects I've been through"...wasn't that the whole point??

Enoch Burke is sauntering around the 'joy with a Life Of Agony bandana on I hear.

Does he have no micky now?

Jaysus Mclove you missed a trick there

Let's (not) Pretend (any more)

Despite the silliness I bought RRR and have been listening to it a lot the past few days. I am familiar with half of if and the other half is slowly growing on me. Take out the annoying story telling bits with the yelling oul one and it's pretty damn savage. I didn't pick up on the huge doom influence when I was younger. My points of reference for doom back then were limited to MDB and PL, and LOA sound nothing like either. I can hear certain parallels with Type O that weren't apparent to me back in the 90s, despite loving October Rust. Pretty damn cool album.

Pretty sure I'm hearing the Biohazard dudes doing guest vocals in a couple of songs.

Josh from Type O was the producer of RRR. That combined with Sals drumming made it have that link. It's a shame Sal can't seem to get in with band members as he has a great drumming style.

Yeah, I can't help but wonder how much influence Silver brought to the table.

I think he had a lot more influence even on the Type O sound than he gets credit for. Mad to think he works as a paramedic now...

Those gang vocals on the likes My Eyes are 100% Type O.
That track for some reason sounds like it was never mastered. If you listen on headphones there is a huge drop in punch and volume.
Ugly has never really clicked with me but Soul Searching Sun was a time and place album. Still love it.

Broken Valley has some moments.

Same as that.
Loved RRR and listened to it relentlessly back in the day. But Ugly just didn't cut it. The production on the album didn't suit them at all, in my opinion.
SSS was a shift in direction but still a decent album.

My SSS CD has disappeared along the way but I loved it back then. Well, maybe not loved, but I liked it a lot. Ugly is a bit thin sounding but I remember liking a few songs.

Broken Valley is the business. I still listen to it regularly enough

The shock of the sound on Ugly after giving a couple of years wearing out RRR was tough to take. I also think SSS was less of a departure after that but I still like a good bit of it

Edit: I'm fairly certain that's Biohazard on Method Of Groove as well but iirc they're uncredited.

Actually, we never mention much on the site here about Pete Steele making a guest appearance on a couple of tracks on Biohazards Uncivilisation album, which is also one of their better ones.

I didn't know about that. I never listened to that album so I'll have to check it out.
