The breakdown at 5:10 in this Gorefest tune always got me. Still remember when I heard it first and audibly gasped ha ha

Mention Gorefest, the first thing comes to mind is the solo in this.

I think Overkill have been on a hell of a run of albums since 2010. Okay, there was a slight dip with The Grinding Wheel and Wings of War (Still bloody good), but Scorched is up there with the likes of Ironbound.

Always loved the way Jan-Chris just stared the camera out of it there ,looking Metal as fuck.

Such a great tune. I loved that vid back in the day.

The entire solo/guitar break in Bathory's Call From The Grave. In retrospect, I think that album was pretty much my gateway into really appreciating the lower-fi end of metal.

I've just stuck Black Mark on reading this. All lights are off, looking at a glass of merlot and the glow of the fire.

Fuckin' beauty  :abbath:

Was a relative latecomer to proper Bathory due to hearing Octagon first and thinking they (he) were shite.

It was actually hearing Call From The Grave on GTA IV:the lost and damned dlc that hooked me. Straight on to the rapidshare blogs after that.

Black Mark is a fucking masterclass in atmosphere. Like I normally buzz off the technical stuff, and some of this album could be from a "my first riff/drum beat" class, but it's some of the best music ever recorded.

And liberally nicking stuff off early Manowar😂

I was today days old when I learned I should revisit early Manowar 🤣

Everything up to Sign Of The Hammer is great. Then the cheese kicks in after😂

Big bag of cans and you'll be grand like!

The little bass bit during the chorus of The Prisoner by Iron Maiden.

Actually when the main riff comes in on after the intro on "Enter The Eternal Fire" might be one of my favourite things ever

These couple seconds in ,,Compelled to lacerate" filled with only ride cymbal and the moment right after, when guitars slide black into the main riff.
