I think the Morbid Angel comparisons are pretty lazy for this one, but maybe I'm not one to talk, the bit about 3 minutes into The Message [Tablet III] sounds like blind guardian to me

Morbid Angel never occurred to me at all. I would say the transitions can be jarring and it's not seamless in that regard , that first drop out in particular is still a bit abrupt but I'm sold at this stage, it's working for me for the most part and is very high up on the year end list no doubt. I wish they'd revamp their logo though. It's one of those illegible for illegible's sake jobs that I can't stand.

Somewhere between Blind Guardian and... Simon & Garfunkel

I'm not a huge Morbid Angel fan (as previously noted  ), yet Blood Incantation are borderline my favourite band ever. I just don't hear any similarities at all.

Ah lads there's Morbid angel in there for sure!

Any of ye that were looking for the vinyl, Distroy have it back in stock

I'd only heard it's of previous stuff from them up until today.
I sat down and listened with headphones.
Holy shit, it's absolutely amazing.

Are the previous albums as good as this? It's bananas in the best possible way.

There's only really an inch between them all. Starspawn is still my favourite. It features a 13 minute track, and Hidden History has an 18 minute track (both killer), so they already have a track record for long and involved compositions.

Interdimensional Extinction (their debut EP) is fucking amazing too and shouldn't be overlooked.

Tinewave Zero is great if you enjoy ambient stuff (or terrible if you don't). Luminescent Bridge feels like a test run (in the best possible way) for Absolute Elsewhere.

I'll have to go back and listen.
I said in some other thread that they did nothing  for me but now I'm a convert.

The weird, atmospheric bits from 2:52 are honestly some of my favourite ever moments in recorded music. Sets an atmosphere of "we've reach the edge of the universe" (or some other bollocks  )

They're bloody good at doing that aren't they?🤘

A brilliant album. Of the few 2024 releases I've heard this one is among the best.

It's getting better with each listen.

2 mins into The Message tablet II sounds very much like the middle part of Dogs by Pink Floyd. The chords progression and the vocals.

Enjoyed that. Glad Paul Riedl's encyclopediaesque knowledge of discographies has been captured on film
