KINGS OF THRASH
The MEGA Years
featuring David Ellefson & Jeff Young
with Special Guests: Andry & Hellgrimm

TUESDAY 29 OCTOBER - OPIUM LIVE!, DUBLIN
WEDNESDAY 30 OCTOBER - LIMELIGHT, BELFAST

General On Sale this Friday 03 May at 9am!

Performing early MEGADETH material from 'Killing is my Business...and business is good!','So Far...So Good...So What!', 'Peace Sells but Who's Buying?' and select cuts from Youthanasia to honour it's 30th Anniversary. The album went gold in the UK! IG.jpg

Ah no that's class. First Three + Youthanasia sounds great to me.

Nice they include Ireland as part of the UK on the poster :-X

Limelight 1 is a bit optimistic for this surely?

Hopefully Ellefson pulls a crowd as well as he pulls something else.

I was pretty skeptical of this gig, but after seeing some live videos, it's probably a better Megadeth experience than seeing Megadeth. The Limelight 1 seems like a stretch to fill for two former Megadeth members. Maybe it will end up being pushed into Limelight 2.

Ellefson and Young are 2 words that has caused issue in the past!

DaveG's comments were great but that's another level!!

Kings of Thrash. Such a fucking embarrassing and crap name for a band. Whatever you say about Mustaine being a muppet, it highlights how much of the creativity behind Megadeth came from him. Ellefson should hook up with Kerry King...

It is absolutely a shit name but I think in cases like this it really doesn't matter.

Ellefson, Poland, Friedman, Menza etc were important though, I know Dave was the main man but without those guys you see what kind of shit he churns out.

Fair play to Ellefson for bashing out these tours when he doesn't need to. Anything to keep him off the laptop I suppose.

Will probably be a good night out if one accepts it for what it is.

Most bands though start throwing out shite the longer they go on, even if all those guys were still there I doubt the current output would be any better

And Ellefson was probably the most expendable of them all, good player but their most famous bass line is probably Peace Sells and Mustaine wrote that

He has writing credits on Lucretia, Tornado of Souls, In My Darkest Hour, Liar and Hook in Mouth among others. He's far from some disposable goon.
