Yeah it's decent, I didn't know about it until recently either. The Eliminator tracks sound a bit out of place but overall a decent listen.

Public Enemy – Fear Of A Black Planet
            - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back

Chuck's delivery on It Takes A Nation is a bit better than on Fear Of, but I think Fear Of might be my favourite of the 2

ZZ Top: ZZ Top's First Album

Skinhead - It's a Beautiful Day, What a Beautiful Day

Great punk album with heavy Oi influences.

Just saw Angine de Poitrine in Edmonton last night. Great oul craic and well worth it if you can get along. Really fun crowd too, everybody up for it and dancing. Great range of people too from young through to old, normies through to metallers etc. Lots of people in polka dots, or dressed up as the band. One person was simply wearing a polka dot bin on his head. Awesome

I feared the buzz around them would evaporate fairly quickly but it's great to see they still have a fair bit of momentum. There is still a place for an original idea out there.

The Beatles - the white album

I've always been an Abbey Road guy when it comes to The Beatles, but this one was hitting really hard for me this morning. So many fucking amazing songs. I've never been a Beatles superfan or anything, but they definitely grow more and more on me as the years go by. I can't even imagine what it must have been like to hear them in the 60s when they were completely revolutionizing music.

It's the one album which has never clicked for me. Fucking love The Beatles, all the same.

It hadn't really clicked for me before either. Randomly, what led me to it was hearing the Beyonce version of Blackbird out in public somewhere, which put me in the mood to listen to the superior original, and then the whole thing just really clicked for me. Sometimes it's just the time!

I enjoy it everytime I put it on but wouldn't be my most listened to by any stretch.

It has some serious songs on it alright but some of the experimantal stuff puts me off. I think I've only played it through once or twice. Can't deny the quality and scope of infuence it's had over the years though.

I posted this lot a few weeks ago but they have a new tune out. Sounds great. Can't wait for the album.

I picked up the CD of that in a charity shop in Sligo one day for a euro and it was one of the best euros I've spent on anything. Brilliant album, and I'd never been into the Beatles at all beforehand. Regularly throw it on

80s King Crimson day yesterday. Discipline, Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair. While many of their 70s peers were creatively dying on their arses, KC were pumping out consistently pioneering gear. Unreal career.

Edit: Even got a bit of proto-Angine de Poitrine from parts of Sleepless last night!
