I saw this on the UMack page earlier. Should be good. Last time I saw them in 2017 was all seated, it was great just having a smoke and watching them.

Holy fuck. My eyes glossed over this post at first.

Would have been very tempted by this (still gutted I missed them in Galway years ago), but after Swans I'm retired.

A couple of hundred tickets already sold

Seeing them as a duo should be good, rather than with quests, etc

My only worry is that some of their stuff has effects/vocals that won't be reproducible as a duo. Still, it's the kind of music that it shouldn't really matter.

Yeah it'll be purely guitars. VERY glad this is a seated show

Looks like about 75% of the tickets have sold already. Every time I have seen them has been with Attila it will be interesting to see what they are like without them. In 2016 I saw them playing in an abandoned electrical generating station at the unsound festival which was a great setting for them and the last time I saw them at that seated show in 2017 they kept setting off the fire alarms.

Last time I saw SunnO))) was in the Button Factory and their dry ice units were setting off smoke alarms also.

I've seen them a fair few times - not sure I can handle a seated gig. Don't feel like being pinned in a seat.

The staff at the NCH can be jobsworths too. I saw Kamasi Washington there a few years back, went to the jacks and was told that I would not be allowed back into the auditorium until the song finished and there was an applause break. I can understand it for opera or plays or something but for a 9-piece jazz ensemble, stoned out of their heads, giving it absolute socks and whose songs are 10 - 20mins long each? I ended up looking through a window in the lobby at the band I'd paid to see.

If that's the case for SunnO)) then you might want to bring an empty bottle.

I love that part of the nch that you can just sit and watch the show with out people up and down the whole time. And the setup seems to cut out the chatty folk too.

Ah balls, sold out. If anyone is flogging two tickets I'll happily purchase them.
