Hard to think what could be the appropriate punishment for that. Unbelievable suffering is the bare minimum.

Whole life sentence for one, 25 years for the other. Not severe enough.

I'd say the chances of them getting killed in prison are fairly high.

Poor wee mite knew more suffering in its short life than anything else. Now there's a mother (if not read the article: charged with murder at 14, in and out of prison her whole life since) who should've been strongly encouraged to have an abortion.
