Watched Never Sleep Again, a documentary about the Nightmare on Elm Street films.

Very good, contains great insights into the making of the scenes. It's mad the lengths they had to go to in the days before CGI and AI.

Finally got around to The Lighthouse. May be the Eggers I've most enjoyed so far, along with Norseman.

Love the lighthouse. Great movie. Definitely my favourite from Eggers. That monologue from Dafoe is one of the greatest of all time

Have been meaning to rewatch The Lighthouse. Thoroughly enjoyed it first time round. Never watched Norsemen

The Lighthouse was decent but I don't feel the need to see that pisspot full of shite again!

Looking forward to Werwulf.

The Lighthouse is a great film - due a rewatch!

Yeah just went to see primetime, which was a good watch, and was reminded I need to see lighthouse again. Will lash it on tonight.

Watched The Burning and Sleepaway Camp while hungover on Sunday afternoon. The Burning is the better film, but I think Sleepaway Camp is probably the bigger cult favourite because it's just so odd. Great little summer camp double bill though.

Also watched The Driller Killer on Halloween. One of those kind of deviant, nasty little low budget whatsits.

Fantastic combo.

Love Sleepaway Camp. One of the best movies to watch with someone who hasn't a clue going in.
The sequels are good craic too.

I've never actually seen any of the sequels, must check them out.

Watched The Dog Stars last night. Had a 6/10 on the site I watched on. I would say that was fair because it's bang average

The sequels are good fun if you like daft slasher movies. There's some great mullets in Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers, which is never a bad thing.

Friday 13th part 4. (Dvd) 1984

The ultimate 80s promiscuous teens get slaughtered movie. Had not seen before. Fun, Jason at his most brutal?

Any others in the series ppl would recommend? Thinking of picking up part 6.

6 is the other fan favourite, though it's a little goofier in tone. 2 and 3 are the others most similar to 4.

Honestly the closest film in general to 4 might be The Burning. Strong recommendation to check that one out if you really enjoyed 4. Tom Savini did the effects for both.
