 I hadn't thought of that.

Planning on watching In The Mouth Of Madness later after only hearing of it yesterday. Anyone seen it and is it any good? Without telling me the story or anything

John Carpenter's last great movie. Sam Neil is great in it

It would help if you know a bit about HP Lovecraft stories beforehand. It's great but essentially a love letter to Lovecraft plus other things. I feel it went over peoples heads for that reason back then. The ending is also to be mulled over. John Carpenter really gave 0 fs but this movie is great.

Halloween 5 (dvd)

Oh dear. Halloween 6 up next.

Shit, I know hardly anything about Lovecraft

It would help to know some Lovecraft but it won't hurt if you don't. It'll be grand man. Just take it for what it is. It's not convoluted or difficult to understand the plot

Lovecraft and Stephen King. You know a bit of King, you'll be grand.

Trivia: he wanted Enter Sandman for the opening credits but couldn't get it, so he wrote a (truly awful) knock- off as a replacement.

Without knowing that bit of trivia I immediately noticed the absolutely brilliantly terrible knock off upon turning on the film. Unfortunately I was asleep within half an hour of that so I'll try it again this evening. Looked interesting enough to be fair to it

I must check out that song, if not the film itself. I got a loan of Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 (the Dennis Hopper one) off a lad in work today (I nearly typed school there   ) so I'll fire it on tomorrow night. I'm sure it won't beat the original, but what can.
