QuoteWatched Eddington earlier. Bit of a mess of a yoke.

Only got to it over the weekend. Another masterpiece from Aster. So on point, ending was pure genius.

I began Eddington but only managed five or ten minutes of it. The PTSD from the Covid years was triggered instantly. I couldn't bring myself to spend another two hours of my life dealing with all of that fucking shite again.

Gave Sleepy Hollow a rewatch last night. Forgot how good it looks.

I just watched Conclave, and I enjoyed it until the silly twist at the end. Was the insight into the internal power struggles that no doubt play out within the Vatican not enough, without having to make the new pope trans?Just... silly  The twist undermined the story, and reduced it from intrigue to farce, but sure... It played to the crowd of the day.

Erm...spoilers...

It's two years old and the spoiler has long been spoiled.

Popette. Absolutely ridiculous ending to an otherwise great film.

I mean, it's the premise of the book, so they couldn't exactly leave it out.

I thought it was great, and if we're spoiling, then spoil accurately:

Spoiler
he's born biologically intersex, he's not "trans" in the way this is commonly understood. The story all along is about what happens when ideological certainty collides with the often ambiguous complexities of life, on all levels, hence the biological level is the apt culmination.

As said above it's the ending of Harris's book.
Spoiler
Also, the character in question is "intersex", possessing both male and female reproductive organs. Not a female transitioning to male or the reverse.

Really enjoyed the movie, twist n all. Only watched it a couple of months ago and wasn't aware of the story behind it all.

2 years old or not, I'm sure there's a few who haven't seen/read it yet and might appreciate spoiler tags lads.

Spoiler
This Star Wars film is great, I can't wait to find out why Darth Vader killed Luke's dad.
