If you want to be creeped out and have a tolerance for David Lynch at his most absolutely abstract (and a lot of patience), watch Skinamarink, preferably in the dark at night. The last third is like a sleep paralysis episode.

You have to bear with it but if you can, most unnerving closing shot in years

Yeah, movie was a 10/10 for me. Pacing aint for everyone, but if you can stick with it its unsettling beyond belief.

Seeing it in a cinema full of people who clearly didn't know what they were getting into was gas

Similar to when I went to see The Substance lol
A lot of disgusted people leaving the cinema.

If you haven't seen mother! yet maybe check it out, on Prime at the minute, psychological horror with Jennifer Lawrence putting in the performance of a lifetime.
Wearing jeans and leather, not crackerjack clothes

Thanks all for the recommendations so far, plenty to begin with there!!!  :abbath:

You've probably seen them, but The Others and The Babadook were also great in the old creeping deead sense I thought.

Oddity is worth a go

Throwing on Skinimarink here now I hope I last long enough to be creeped out

Watched Dream Scenario the last night. Thought it was very good.

Rewatched a foreign one called Borgman. First time I watched it had no idea what was going on really and the rewatch didn't give me any clearer answers. I still enjoyed it though!

Long time since I've seen Borgman but twas great.

If you've the stomach for some gore, Martyrs is amazing. Not the film it starts of as. Grim.

I'm talking the French original, not the Yank remake.

Just gonna throw The Devils and Possession in here in case you haven't seen them. Former is being reissued, shitty remake of the latter pending

Not sure if you were talking to me but yes, I've seen Martyrs. I think I have seen most of the French extremity ones. Calvaire is another one that is excellent.
The original Vanishing movie is great too for anyone who hasn't seen it.
And another French one I enjoyed was With A Friend Like Harry.

Every Which Way But Loose

Clint and an orangutan. Sells itself really.

Shouldn't work, but with Clint battering Nazis throughout it's great craic.
Any Which Way You Can is pretty weak.

Speaking of battering Nazis, wee lad's first watch of Raiders last night, having left him mull over The Sound of Music and The Ten Commandments for a few months. Loved it of course  :abbath: Still a 10/10 masterclass in film making.
