Werwulf trailer looks savage. I can see bits of all of his previous things in there but amped up to ten.

Ya, saw that earlier. Looks cool.

Yup. Looking forward to that. There's a Dracula ballet on over here that I've seen an ad for. Looks like it could be interesting.

Watching Donnie Darko. I saw it, I suppose it's 25 years ago at this stage, and back then I didn't think it was all that great. I think it was so hyped it couldn't stand a chance. I'm enjoying it this evening.

Cinema version or directors cut. Both good but directors cut is class.

Gattacca on telly this evening. Utter dogshit.

I'm watching The Wicker Man 2006. Fuck me, it's appalling  :o

Finally watched Thin Red Line for the first time. Actually really enjoyed it.

Going to try and watch Nosferatu again this weekend which i haven't seen since the cinema. Enjoyed it then despite Aaron Taylor Johnson absolutely chewing scenery!

Definitely enjoyed Nosferatu even more the second time once I got the 4k disc. Think the chewing scenery works for Johnson as there's a bit of classic Hammer Horror to the movie.

True true, i juat found it very jarring but was probably being too harsh, in fairness.

Might just go on an Eggers spree for the next while  :D

I'm still due my Nosferatu rewatch as well. Been eyeing it up on Prime for the last few weeks but still haven't gotten around to it yet. I seem to remember thinking the acting was shite across the board though. I cannot fucking stand Bill Skarsgard. I know he's the beloved actor of the moment, but for me he's just the modern day Jared Leto. Overdoes it in absolutely everything. Austin Butler is kind of the same. Takes himself way too seriously.

Aaron Taylor Johnson is, I think, the lead in Werewolf. Curious to see how he goes. I thought he was good in Nosferatu, myself. But I was all in on the experience anyway.

Watched The Exterminator, a Death Wish rip-off from 1980 about a Vietnam vet who becomes a vigilante after his friend is mugged and left paralysed by a gang called the Ghetto Ghouls! The plot is all over the place, but the sleazy atmosphere and kills made it worth a watch.

I remember that from the shelves in video rental shops in the '80s/'90s, don't think I ever saw it. He was fond of a flamethrower was he?

That's the one. The flamethrower wasn't used enough for my liking.

I wouldn't bother with it if you've already seen Death Wish and Vigilante. It was grand with a few cans, but I should have watched Rolling Thunder instead.

Watched Hokum last night, new Irish horror film, there's parts that are genuinely amazing and some parts that don't quite land, but a fun watch overall.
