Haven't seen a thread yet for this so some may not even know it is on. I can't wait for this first time finally getting to see SI. Sijjin are getting great reviews so far on the tour. The debut full length was one of the best releases of 2021.

I'll be at this anyway, only know CM, ZC and Malthusian but looking forward to it all, heard good things about the others.  But hey fuck it, it's Bad Rep's 15th Birthday and about 10 minutes from my gaff so it would be rude not to.

Check out both bands before the show. SI have never released an album just splits, demos and EPs and Sijjin just have a demo and full length so a week is plenty of time to become familiar with some of the material.

I'd say don't bother checking them out at this stage and just go in raw.

Ah, I would have missed the stage times there only for zooming out by mistake!

Looking forward to this  :abbath:

Lol I haven't a clue how to make it smaller when putting an attachment in here

This was great.  Poisoned from the drink.  Missed Corr Mhona unfortunately because I didn't get back to Limerick until late, but arrived in for most of Zealot Cult and onwards until midnight where the cruelty of pints took over rapidly and I fled for food.

Malthusian were my favourites of the night anyway, as much as I always love ZC, and Sijjin & Sadistic Intent were class too, but Malthusian was an exercise in madness.  Great all round, good crowd, extreme craic.

This was great, brilliant to catch up with all the old heads. All bands were sweet, Zealot Cult were class imo

Zealot Cult were great as always, the new track ( 'You suffer'?) was the highlight I reckon.
Malthisian were ferocious, savage atmosphere, the doomier parts were so hypnotic, best I've seen them - the sound was so clear.
Sadistic Intent were absolutely class, the first half hour was possibly the best death metal show I've ever seen. Serious band live
Edit forgot about Sijiin. After the madness of Malthisian it was a bit meat a two veg for me but they were solid, straight forward death metal. Not a patch on Necros Christos

Mixed bag for myself.Missed Corr Mhona, Zealot Cult savage and the filthy beast Malthusian absolutely immense, every box ticked. However then the small, power tripping, bald bouncer decided 'your enjoying yourself too much in there' so missed the rest. Also witnessed him doing the same to another couple afterwards.Very wrong for Dolans and a night of metal. Not since over zealous bouncers of the ninetys have I seen this carry on,shurly not acceptable

Unfortunately, as far as I know, Dolans were sued lately by someone who injured themselves in a moshpit at a gig some time back so there's a zero tolerance policy for moshing in there now.  I'd be friendly with a few of the security team in there and I can tell you they don't enjoy having to be so strict on it, so in this case the blame is with claim culture.

Whoever did it has made a fuck of it for the rest of us and it won't be the only venue to do this either I bet - seemingly this one case has raised the cost of insurance to all venues this size in the country.  Completely dogshit form.  I've been to a few gigs in all Dolan's venues since they started this policy though and it has been grand regardless, they get strict to stop pits and crowd surfing but leave you off otherwise.  Some of the time it is completely impossible to stop (Napalm Death lol).

I wonder how many of ye I bumped into in the few little pits that started up later in the night, I was the lad in a Godflesh tee doing the knee dance every time someone dragged me in

Thanks OChoill,a pox on that claiming bastard scumbag. However I don't mind getting kicked out for heat of battle stuff.Went outside for a smoke and cool air after Malthusian and chatting to the bouncer resulted in the power tripping.Another lad thrown out justifiably for hassle and then the couple who only wrong turned out the front door with the small bouncer declaring "your drunk, bouncing off the walls there, your not getting back in".Totally unjustifiable with him again not willing to discuss anything only deny 're entry.Hope its not a common thing with him

I'll clear up a few things here.

I'm Ciaran - one half of bad rep. We did in fact get sued for someone getting injured at a siege. It's no secret that it almost ended our ability to run the fest, and in fact shows in general. It's all been sorted now and while headbanging and a bit of light moshing is cool. Heavy moshing and stage diving is an offence that will get you a caution first and ejected upon repeat offenses. Thing is - this is actually the case in every single venue in the country. Heavy moshing and stage diving is banned everywhere and a grounds for being thrown out.

There was one lad I saw get several cautions from security - who I fully stand by btw, we're blessed to have the most patient and understanding security here - who also fought our corner tooth and nail during the times we nearly had to call it quits here over the lawsuit.

If that was you who they said it to then you fully deserved to be ejected. The offender I saw got asked to calm down after climbing between the center monitors on the stage- causing the bands monitors to cut out. They were asked to calm down and both myself and the band alerted security to the issue. They were given another chance to chill the fuck out by our head of security and they proceeded to start getting mouthy with him. I witnessed this myself and if that was you- I'm sorry but you should have been escorted out long before they did it.

It's a gig. If you're interfering with the running of the show and other punters enjoyment of the show then you're gonna get at least a caution.
