Actually stuck that on recently as people lost their shit over it when it was released. It's grand, nothing more.

I think first 3 albums are great, love pleasures of the flesh and fabulous disaster. After that I really rate Tempo of the damned and then not bothered about any of the rob duke stuff.

Not sure the second half of the album really holds up for me now.  But the first 4 songs and some of the solos later in the album are still great.

Exodus are grand, I like Fabulous Disaster a lot, at least the songs they wrote, and any of the first four are always a decent listen without ever being amazing. Force of Habit is a mess but I am probably a bit sentimentally attached to it, I enjoy it when I put it on. I listened to Tempo recently and it hasn't stood up too well, it's ok but nothing more. The rest... well nobody would be sad of they never played any songs from them at a gig, but I suppose you could apply that almost entirely to the last 20 years output of any 80's band.

They're about level with Testament, good and solid tier 2 schtuff.

I think Tom Hunting's drumming elevated these lads a bit for me. Think he's genuinely underrated.

I love Exodus and yeah, Tom Hunting is a beast of a drummer.

I think I've seen them live 8 times. Zetro is my favourite Exodus vocalist (and one of my favourite metal vocalists in general), but I think Dukes has a much better stage presence. That gig they played in the Village in 2010 was nuts.

I like the new recording of Bonded By Blood, but I prefer the charm of the original.

Tempo of the Damned is my favourite album and still gets regular listens. Took me a while to get into the Atrocities... but there is some great stuff on those albums.

Lee Altus has some tasteful lead playing and Gary Holt is just a beast in general.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this video before on here, but I've listened to this Zetro interview with Rob Dukes. Some might be surprised that he's actually a pretty quiet guy and seems fairly humble.
If I'm remembering correctly, he explains that his 'tough man' stage persona came from his first ever vocal gig, which happened to be for Exodus, in front of a crowd of a couple of thousand people and he was shitting himself.
I'm pretty sure he says that he actually shat himself on stage one time too

War Is My Shepherd is a cracker.

Tom Hunting looking like Jay from Mallrats granddad 😂

Look like a bunch of sad auld'fellas that found their old instruments and band stuff in the garage.

Though Holt has done alright for a crackhead.

Hunting isn't looking too bad for an auld lad with no stomach

New track up, after all Holts spoofing it plays out exactly as you'd expect. To be fair the moody intro sounded cool but it did go on a bit, then ridiculously goes into a fast riff that sounds like any other latterday Exodus song. Dukes vocals are awful, one dimensional.

Waiting for someone to claim this is "decent"

I knew you'd be the first person on here moaning about it

Dukes is grand I think this track is decent  :abbath:
