Decay cranked on the stereo here now. Sounds great.

What caught me about this album, while listening to it on the phone on YouTube (sorry audiophiles :) ) is that its focus is on tones and noises, the beats are simple and brutal. I think that being in that headspace of listening to lots of stuff like old Current 93 and The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud etc has primed my ears for the minimal and harsh buzz. There's no real groove going on- just pummelling nihilism. I dig it!

Record Shop X in Finland has a few copies. Postage to Ireland for several CDs is a fiver as well, so probably cheaper than here.

Never thought of them, thanks. I bought a few Reverend Bizarre CDs from them over the years, grand for it.

Just nabbed a copy and a few other bits there myself. Always found it great despite a few random albums being perplexingly overpriced.

Thanks a million I've one bought from there this minute

There's only one left now

Lashed on SOLAH this morning for the spin to work. Got most of the way through. Another fantastic album. I love the drumming on it. Mad how different Mantia makes it sound compared to Parsons on Hymns. Both are great, just different. Very different

The new album is much better than Godflesh's last few records but nothing beats Godflesh Mk 1 from Streetcleaner to Hymns. Hopefully the final album delves further into the heavy bleakness of Decay.
