I missed loads of threads lately I just haven't had it in me to post.  Going to go back and watch the doc recommended above soon.  The new album is savage.

This album just grows & grows.
The first track 'Master And Slave' is pure horrific.
I had to turn it off the other day while cutting the grass. It was too sunny!

The last track 'Consume Me' is pure bleak.
A stomper to finish the album on.

Our Justin really has a knack for delving into the darker side of existence.

Can't wait the the next/final album!

Spinning the remaster of Jesu s/t.
Bought it a few years back.

Not sure what to make of it tbh.

I like it, but find it maybe a bit too 'sensitive' for most of the album.

Saying that, the last 2 tracks 'Man / Woman' & 'Guardian Angel' are fcking immense sounding.

I think a couple of Welsh lads should start a Godflesh tribute band and call it Goldfesh.

Is that the one that runs faster than the original?  I listened to it once but the s/t is too engrained in me as is to enjoy it any other way.  I love the original mix.

It's a remaster of the original I listened to.

I'll need to listen to the other mix, which is on white vinyl (used for the pic disc, and is the one that Broadrick experimented with a cleaner, higher-speed/re-sampled 'rate')

He prefers the original mix.

That high pitched version is awful compared to the original release, which I love

great album, I've never actually listened to the remastered version. Have a copy on cd for years. I haven't listened to them properly in years now. This and the silver EP are brilliant

Are physical copies of 'Decay' available now?

have been for about a fortnight.

I picked up Streetcleaner years ago and didn't like it. I either gave it away or lost it along the way because when I went to revisit it in recent times it ain't there. The new album sounds right up my street for the mood I find myself in in recent times. This evening I've been listening to the debut self- titled album and its really good. Might have to nab the two self titled ones on pay day as one of my local places has them in stock.

Do you still feel the same re. Streetcleaner? Top tier for me and one of my all time favourite albums.

No idea. I haven't listened to it in years. I will probably fire it on on youtube one of these days and see. I remember it being really groovy and sounded a bit like proto-nu metal. Maybe my opinion would be different these days, but it wasn't at all what I was looking for when I bought it. That said, if I had heard it as a young lad I'm sure I would have really liked it for the reasons I didn't like it in my 20s...

Getting into Streetcleaner had a profound effect on me back in the day.

I'm a bit jealous of anyone just getting into Godflesh because there's an awful amount of class class tunes across the whole discography.

Going to listen to Hymns now, which is sort of maligned I think but I adore it. Maybe SOLAH as well I haven't had that on in a while

Where would you even tell a fella to start with Godflesh though, like I could see somebody not liking Streetcleaner but thinking Pure was great or vice versa etc

I was sold Streetcleaner shortly after it came out, told it was death metal. It's very not death metal, so it took a while to come around to it. One of my favourites now as well, just so bleak and cold. Pure was a big change when it came out but again, a favourite now.

I'd say just go chronologically with checking them out, there's no bad material so you can't go wrong, really.
