Just bought the download for now. Christmas, kids etc. Will have to wait till the new year for the CD but what a great surprise

Such a great surprise that I haven't even listened to it yet because I got wankered playing chess with a lad but now I have it to look forward to for tonight!!

Happy fuckin days

So I've listened to this a few times now. First impression is that life is going by like one of those flick animations because I can't believe it's ten years since the OG version. Second is that it's just brilliant. Third is that it's as good as any of the dub stuff they've had. Fourth is that it's a bit short but that can be a good thing as well and I realise it's not the 90s style 78:59 at all costs. Fifth is wondering what happened to the Us And Them Dub.

Happy out

Big fan myself, although I've never been into the dub stuff or remixes. Us And Them is the only album I can't get into. Just never clicked with me

I feel like this one could possibly change your mind about the dub stuff. There's a lot more guitar in it than the other ones

Ben Green's Vitriol side project is 'name your price' on Neurot's Bandcamp page at the moment, not sure how long for:

Finally got the AWLOBD CD in the post today, first one got lost so they sent a replacement (which was nice of them, they could have told me it was my problem). Downloaded it when I preordered so I've given it a few runs through but it's nice to actually have the disc itself for completion's sake.

Very strong return album

This is the dub remix one I mean, but yeah the album itself was decent.

Oh ya  :)

Got it a few weeks back
Great variations on it
Must give it a spin again!

Just saw this in the Avalanchers FB group:

QuoteHeard from Justin today, he's given the okay to share some life changing news. Official statement to come...

JKB is recovering and regaining mobility from a serious abdominal surgery some three weeks ago. It addressed a significant hernia issue that had been developing and increasingly affecting live performance. Some may already have heard, or noticed the scaling down of live shows over the past months. The operation went ok, but this condition has resulted in chronic physical limitations that make intense physical activity and loud singing unsafe.

GODFLESH will no longer perform live. Last year's "in dub" in London was the final GODFLESH performance. This aligns with thoughts that had already been forming about eventually closing out GODFLESH, but the recent surgery simply accelerated that...

Mixing on the penultimate GODFLESH LP, "DECAY" is almost complete, aiming at early autumn release. Another, already written final LP will follow, which will be recorded toward the end of the year. Afterwards, GODFLESH will exist through releases of live/archival/dub/other rare material.

The next jesu LP titled "Still Life" is currently in demo form, with recording and mixing slated for spring, and release expected late 2026. jesu performances will continue as they don't require the physicality, and JKB will be easing back into live activity in the coming months of recovery

JKB is also excited to tell about developing a new solo project, exploring new forms of heavy, filthy electronics layered with guitars and voice. It will occasionally be presented live, and possibly with a drummer taking over rhythm.

Glad I saw them when I did a few years ago, but it's shite news all the same. At least there's more material to come, plus the live/archival stuff.

Never knew of this at all, awful to go through. I've seen em' quite a few times over the years including the most recent jaunt to these shores. Wish the fella the best!

Fuck!; I haven't seen him in the flesh in years; but in photos he always seems like one of those guys that hasn't changed much over the years!

He looks great for 56. Him and Bill Steer must be on the same program.

Godflesh for me are more of a live band. I love the earlier stuff but not crazy on the reunion material and have little interest in hearing the rare material coming out.

It's a shame I was just thinking about the last Godflesh show here in the Academy when I was at ND last week hoping they would come back over again soon.

Ah, man. This is shit. Glad I got to see them twice anyway and they were great both times.
