Having given the entire thing a proper listen (after having not for the longest time) , I would say that it is a solid distillation of their sound up to that point (in 2003) across 15 tracks. Enjoyed it. Especially dig the 80s vibes (to my ears) in 'Todds ship Gods'.

Every year Type O are a staple at this time but I am never not listening to them really lol.  A top 3 band for me anyway.  Solid constant in my life as long as I have been into music at all.

Every year I hope will be the year it finally clicks and I go into it and it's all not bad but there's not a single moment that gives me the oul frisson that I can think of unfortunately.

I'll end up trying it again this year once I've the other stuff worn out and hopefully this will be the year

Your preferences are your own man , no one has a problem with them  :) . I just recently discovered LIKM after having given their 2000s material a miss for whatever reason, AND I happen to really dig it is all.

I'm still waiting for Dead Again to click as well but to a slightly lesser extent

I'm listening to LIKM, having not picked it up in ages, it's actually better than I remember. Dead Again up next which admittedly, I don't own.

Ye, dead again is my favorite. Probably because it was the only one I was aware of upon release, but it really stuck with me and is always the one I reach for!

Also was the only cd I had in my car for the first year or so I learned how to drive, so its very nostalgic in general for me!

Everything Type-O is absolute magic.
