I generally despise 'classical' takes on metal songs, the likes of Apocolyptica but this is different. In trying to find words to describe the tones I can only think of Eastern European music, which is interesting when you think that Chuck Schuldiner's surname is Austrian Jewish. Very cool, love it..enjoy

Posted it a few days ago in Now Playing too Pedrito, expecting some tiny bit of traction, but nothing!

Someone else said they got an eastern folk music feel off it, whereas to me it was pure turn of the (last) century Russian classical... though I 'spose that's just a common inspiration at play there. Anyway, music doesn't get much better than this for me.

Enjoyed it in lurker mode BSC, as more probably did so thanks anyway!

I seem to recall a Russian classical version of "Human" coming out on bandcamp a few months ago. Anyone know who they are as I can't find them now?

Just a sign o' the times! Back in the MI days, no doubt thanks in large part to CT's own predilection for them, any Death news always got people talking.

I might have myself a bit of a DiGiorgio evening actually; Testament's The Gathering popped up as a "released on this day" this week and I haven't stuck that on in years, so gonna have at it here now.

Multiple viewings of this led to YouTube throwing loads of DiGiorgio playthrough videos from his band Gone In April. Never heard of them before. Now I long for yesterdaaaaaaay...

Funnily enough, his playthrough videos have roughly ten times more views than the official videos, ha!
