I thought this was interesting but not a fucking chance most metallers will ever accept this kind of thing

An interesting idea for sure, but can't see it gaining much traction here.

It just sounds like a heavier version of Gangsta rap. Wouldnt exactly call it metal.

That said some of it isn't bad.

I remember checking out Ghostmane a couple of years ago or might actually have been the release of his last album and act liked it but never got back to checking it out and exploring more, even though I meant to.
I've always liked a bit of Ghetto Core myself anyway so this genre would pique my interest too.
I'll watch that clip again at the weekend for sure anyway.
Not to derail the thread or anything, but here's a bit of Insane Poetry (Ghetto Core/Metal). It's heavy as fuck and I've always got these guys on my playlist at work.

It's fucking shite, and that punk rock mba lad is a clown. He had some previous video where he dismissed pretty much the entirety of black metal, yet he thinks this shit is good? It's all a bit pathetic and transparent really, so let's call it for what it is... lad obviously feels uber conscious about his white privilege and would like to atone for mainly listening to guitar driven genres of music which appeal predominantly to younger, white, middle class males...blah blah fucking blah. Oh look, here's a genre that embraces gangsta culture in a positive, and inclusive manner, while promoting misogynistic  and violent imagery but not in the same way that metal does cos metal is really only for hicks and incels...

"Rap metal is trash because it sounds so 90's and dated, but trap metal is great because it sounds so FRESH".

What a knob

If this video was made 20 years ago he'd be suckling at the tit of rap metal, while describing grindcore as sour milk.

And what's with these "game changer for metal" statements that come along every now and again? I remember Machine Head being described as "The Saviours of Metal" when The Blackening came out, like metal is in such an unhealthy state that it needs a superhero to promote it to the masses and give us something to celebrate. Magazines and the likes looking for attention I suppose.

I've been into Suicide Boys, Pouya etc. for years, but to say that type of rap has any bearing on actual metal is absurd, didn't watch the whole video cause yer man that made it doesn't know his arse from his elbow when it comes to genres (As seen on his videos on Black and Death Metal) and he's a whiney straight edge hardcore American, but it is interesting to see how  nu-metal has had an  influence on modern rap

I don't think it's a bad channel, and I'm pretty sure he has apologized about his comments on black metal and has revised them. He has a video about death metal somewhere too. As for trap metal, no interest personally but if 'the kids' like it then I would rather they listened to that than Reggaeton for example.
