Anyone having issues with ReVanced? Since yesterday, it gets about a minute into any given video and then just endlessly buffers.

Will always be a cat and mouse game between the likes of ReVanced and Google ->

From what I've read online - you need to make sure your proper Youtube App is up to date ->

Apk version of v18.23.35 of youtube - https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-23-35-release/youtube-18-23-35-2-android-apk-download/

Some comments online ->

"Then update Revanced manager to latest version. Regenerated keystone in settings."

"Try to download the latest revanced manager, and repatch your youtube .apk from apkmirror with the latest revanced manager you just installed before. Don't forget to tick the spoof player/video feature to prevent playback issues."

"reinstalling everything

worked for me"

Righto, cheers. I'll give it a go later.

Ok I just tried it -

1. Made sure Youtube app was up to date on my phone.
2. Then uninstall any Revanced apps you have.
3. Then download this and install ->
https://github.com/j-hc/revanced-magisk-module/releases/download/20220883/youtube-revanced-v18.23.35-all.apk

Didn't have to do anything else  :abbath:

So using that on my phone but for my smart TV still using that firestick/smarttubenext app to block ads!

Repatched from the Youtube APK you linked to above and it seems to have done the trick. Cheers!

I need to keep an eye on it and update more often, I just never think of updating the few non-Play Store apps I have on the phone.

Thanks for the update lads, I was having the same issue, all working fine again.
Updated Youtube app, then simply updated Revanced app from that Github download, no uninstall necessary :abbath:

I get on fine with Adblock plus for youtube, but I didn't know there was a way to block the fucks on the telly as well. Brilliant!!

I had this same issue a while back and no matter what YT version I used etc. it always ended up happening again after a short period of time.

I ended up using ReVanced Extended that uses some additional patching over the basic Revancwd. Had no issues for months now.

Downloaded revanced based on the recs here, played round with it a little and seems the business. Do yous know if it's possible to migrate your YouTube playlists over to it? Played round on the app and did some Googling but can't find any info on how to or if it's even possible

Once you sign in it should all port over.

Well worth spending 10 minutes getting it setup considering it will probably save a few hours over time depending on YT usage on the TV! Bill Hicks would be proud

Anyone using YouTube (on Firefox at least) can get past their new anti-adblock measures by disabling all adblockers for YouTube except uBlock Origin (install it if you don't already have it). You may need to re-install uBlock to get it to work. Instructions here (they worked for me):
https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrigin/comments/173jmog/youtube_antiadblock_and_ads_october_09_2023/

Nice one - I actually read this morning about Youtube trying out disabling videos etc so I went ahead and added this to my addons for firefox ->
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/

And worked fine with youtube  :abbath:

I discovered a handy workaround for YouTube and their new adblocking thing. Just go and "disable for this page only" on adblock plus and that fools it. Happy days

Looks like the cunts have figuered out Firefox with U-block origin
