Simple Pleasures

After a week Zooms, Looms and apes (in no particular order), settling in with various tasty beers is more than welcome. And the missus back to work Monday, while I re-engage with Zooms, Looms and apes for another fortnight is killing her buzz. Which is obviously another simple pleasure.

I have the opposite of that, where my wife is relaxing on the  350 while I look forward to work 5 days a week. It shouldn't matter because I'm going either way but it still hurts.

Can't get into the zoom beer buzz either because I can't handle staring right into someone's face while I drink.

Simple pleasure for this evening is drinking off the hangover. 2 cans in and the pain in my head is nearly gone

I went out for my first run in almost a year this morning after spending half of last year in physio. I was surprised at how fit I felt still, I thought I'd be in a heap but I enjoyed it. I haven't run in the morning in twenty years and I always assumed I wouldn't be lively at that hour (7am) but I found the peace and quiet really pleasant to run in. It helped that it was a bright clear, cool morning with mist on the fields. Dunno if I'd manage it at 6am before work but I might try next week....

Not a simple pleasure as such, as I couldn't afford to be doing it every week, but a good solid massage, 1.5 hours with a little oriental woman with magic hands. Floated home, and didn't even need hand relief

The old iTunes purge. It doesn't sound like much, but deleting the stuff you never listen to and clearing up space is brilliant.

They should come out by all means! Get those freedom truncheons ready boys, and don't forget that you can't discriminate in distributing freedom slaps based on gender:)
