Quote from: Kunt 4 Life on September 11, 2025, 08:21:33 AMWhat's Ducky's taste in music, I'm curious now.

No idea but I'm sure it's retarded.

From what I've read, he was shot while on a rant about trans shooters. The suspect should be quickly apprehended though. All the police need to do is release a description and put in the wrong pronouns
They'll jump out of hiding to call them cunts for misgendering them and hey presto, suspect apprehended!

That reads like a Viz "Top Tip"

right-wing fascist cunt - why would that be your first port of call against helma? Dehumanising either side of debate or viewpoint only leads us one way.

We are so lucky not to have guns in this country. Civil discourse is surely what we should strive for. I do fear as time goes on society gets more and more fragmented and low trust sets in while both sides can argue tit for tat, then heighten the rhetoric and place blame on how all this has manifested and I think there are truths that can be argued from both sides - but I don't see this playing out nicely or it getting resolved fully by voting/debating. Personally think the shift started long ago, resulted in the GFC in 2008 and since then because economically so many people got away with financial bloody murder at the top of the chain,  it feels like society/the system no longer works for people and things are getting worse, that lets people gravitate towards the left/right edges as some want drastic change. People hate the lack of fairness / sense of injustice and I definitely think we need actual accountability for actions and a strengthening of our democractic structures, a version 2.0 - how that's fleshed out it's not for a off-topic metal forum

Whatever about the trans angle, a few of ye certainly seem to be on your period, so seems a good point to throw a nice conspiracy shaped spanner into the mix: Mossad  :)

Edit: As in, it seemed recently Kirk, who you'll see gushing tributes to from Netanyahu and pretty much every single Israeli media outlet today as having been a pro-Israel "lion", was in fact splitting away from the pro-Israel position, towards MTG's and Carlson's stance on the conflict.

Combine all that with the ever growing, ever tightening grip of social media, and all that goes with it, on society. There is a type of peer pressure (which I think is often more of an internal pressure than an external one) going on across the world where everyone feels the need to be an instant expert on every story that's in the headlines, regardless of whether it had anything to do with them or not. That has to have a deranging effect on society. It certainly pushes people further and further into their own niches where everything the happens everywhere, all the time is of utmost importance.  It is not a healthy way for people to live and not healthy for society. There's a lot to be said for blocking out this noise and literally smelling the roses, reading a good book,  making music or doing something that has nothing to do with your boring unoriginal political views.

Yep, get off the phone and rock out.

As the kids say these days "go touch some grass".

Some of you lads are sounding like woke snowflakes.

Lad was vocally happy for others to die for his rights, including children, was also fairly happy to support attackers of his own political opponents.

Fuck him, the way the blood spewed out of his neck was fairly metal though, fair play  :abbath: .

I haven't watched any of his political pontification, but he may well have been a twat, it might have been grifting because that angle was giving him a living and making him connections. The point stands though, people are entitled to shit opinions in a democracy, whether from the right or left. And people have the basic human right in what should be a democracy not to be murdered for having shit opinions. It's as simple as that. I'm not defending anything he said or thought, because I don't know or care about it. At worst you could say he brought it upon himself for being vocal and being an outrage monger, but even that is fucked up if you think about it for two seconds. Murder is pretty bad*

*unless it's for black metal, in which case it's noble**

** A joke, Ducky. A joke***

*** but also true in an elitist way.

Fuck around and find out. Isn't that an American saying. The polarisation over there is fucked, and leads to where we are now. His comments on guns, especially after school shooting were repugnant. Not justification for getting killed now. But thats where that country is at.

I've edited my posts directed at Ducky. I think he's an eejit but I'm doing myself no favours in getting involved in online squabbles. Apologies to the Duck and the rest of you. Amen.
