Bad Brains- what a killer band they were.
Yes, mandatory listening imo

An obvious choice but, man, Rancid were untouchable in their day. I just stuck on Life Won't Wait (their last great album, I reckon) for the first time in a few years. This is their pinnacle for me. It's just stupidly, insanely catchy. I remember being disappointed when I listened to it initially but after a couple of spins I was completely hooked.
Love this album but I find too sprawling and it just drags a bit. Rancids last great album was the next one, the self titled one with skull on the cover, everything after was just disappointing, I partly blame Brody Dalle and probably just age also!

Never heard Chelsea before. That song is savage. Great vocals.

Also,  you can't go wrong with The Ruts. I was listening to Jah War earlier.

Yeah it's a deadly song, pure urgency in the vocals. Can't say I know much about them either, think I heard that on a radio show last year and it stuck with me.

Shithatt from Ballina were fucking great, sadly called it a day last year. Well worth checking out.

Still reckon nevermind the bollocks is the greatest punk album of all time. Otherwise I've very little time for most punk.

Never been bettered if all truth be told. Everything that came afterwards was some sort of an imitation, albeit some amazing imitations at that. London Calling would be on a par though in a very different way.

Where do we stand with Nofx? only ever had one album by them. Yet they have a very identifiable sound.

White Thrash, Two Heebs and a Bean was the one I grew up with by NOFX. Great album.

D-beat legends Discharge....

Raw fucking energy ahoy......
