I was impressed with Obsidian when it came out. Maybe one or 2 songs on it could have been dropped. This new one feels very much by the numbers. Hopefully the rest of the album is better.

I think it sounds pretty good, to be honest. It's a bit predictable from them at this stage, but it's just PL doing PL. I really don't get the level of hate being thrown at the songs.

Pretty stupid thing to say, really!

Any band starting out and building a style/sound for themselves is obviously going to sound somewhat individual.
But stay in the game long enough, like PL, and almost every band settles into a signature sound.

I've tried a few times with Host. And the last Host album from a few years ago.
Does absolutely nothing for me.
