So not long to go...
Whose done all their shopping and whose leaving it to the last minute?
Where you spending it and how drunk will you be by 10am.

What a ball ache. Every year they can't resist kicking off the festivities earlier than the previous year.  No shopping from me until its December. 24th. Bah humbug.

Took a gander around the Galway "Christmas Market" today. I'd like to know what the fuck nutella pancakes and little ceramic garlic graters have to do with christmas.

The Galway Christmas market is up already? Must take a look next time I'm in town.

One thing that is absolutely essential this time of year is having your headphones primed and ready to go with some good music before walking into any shops that will be playing that god awful Christmas music shite.

Yeah they set it up on friday I think. Same stuff as every year from what I saw.

Where I work we started getting in the christmas stock around the middle of August. Thoroughly depressing, and really got me thinking about how we are always getting rushed towards the next commercial extravaganza. It is all a big bag of shit, gets worse every year and there is really no spirit to it at all.

At least there is a good run of soccer to look forward to, I suppose

I've heard they're installing an ice rink near city hall in Belfast. Should be interesting

House near me has had their decorations up for about 3 weeks now! As soon as Halloween was over up they went! Fuck that shit!

Loathe it. At least I'll be out of Dublin for it this year.

I find I hate Christmas far less in recent years since I moved away from Dublin. It feels like it's impossible to get away from it while in the city, being bombarded by Christmas ads, lights, decorations and all the rest wherever you go.

Fucking hate Christmas.
Plus the fact every year, xmas stuff slowly pollutes every shop you go into. Last Sunday I was watching TV and thought,I've already had enough of.xmas and it's not even December!!!
Although I must admit, I really enjoy getting friends and family a nice gift, a.surprise that I know they'll like but I just hate that Xmas starts nearly 2 months before December. And it's lost all value. New year's Eve tho, fuck, that's even worse!!?

New year eve is just so depressing and I can't quite put my finger on why it is.
Aul Lang is soon depressing... should replace it with the ghost busters theme.

Bitta Teitanblood to make everything that bit more surreal.

Grafton Street is already hell on earth and it's not December yet. Don't have much presents to buy this year but hoping to get it sorted sooner than later. Last minute present buying is more stress than it's worth.

I don't mind xmas, as such, and it's fun watching my young nephews getting extited about it all but they are children and it's all good. With adults, however, I expect a little bit of cop-on. I despise the cunts in work who feel the need to inflict faux-chirpiness onto everyone in the run-up. The same cunts will then wave an accusing finger, screeching about "not getting into the spirit" if you don't conform to their very narrow, heavily Americanised vision of the festive season. I have less ability to put up with the cunts as the years go on.
