I put together a 54 track best of the Irish scene 2024 compilation on Bandcamp.
This is really diverse, but I'm sure there's lots you will dig. If you're an open minded music fan, off you go on a voyage!

Thanks for that compilation. Was listening to it the last four hours or whatever doing other stuff. I didn't know the Irish scene had so many underground bands. I was surprised the productions were generally very good but thought there'd be more doom and black metal. I particularly loved the Pincer Consortium and Coroza tracks. If I had a general criticism, or observation, a lot of the bands sounded American.

Thanks for putting it together, some great stuff that would have flown under the radar for me.
I'd agree that the production is great, don't  hear the American sound. More like bands showing their influences whilst trying to make it their own.
Most of all I'm happy there are some many bands writing songs and getting together to play.

Yeah did a quick catch all genre summary based on the songs while listening ->

20   Alternative/Hard Rock/Punk/Other
16   Modern/Core
12   Death/Black/Doom
6   Thrash/Heavy/Trad/Folk/Prog

Interesting to see the modern/alt is basically 66.6% of the total   :abbath:

That's likely more what I meant. I wouldn't expect every band to sound like Primordial or Cruachan, but maybe more of them to have a bit of Irish character.
