Listening to this ugly, primitive, outsider black metal from the dudes behind Witchcraft, Ceremonial Torture, Moonfall etc. Prominent bass and keyboards, basic drumming and harsh growls that culminate in a kind of trancey black doom, not a million miles away from the more out there frequencies emitted by Ride for Revenge. You'd need to be in the mood for it, but it has charm.

Funny coincidence, the vinyl version of this album has been announced for early next year through Medieval Prophecy. New Forbidden Temple album too. I'll have to give that new sample a listen later.

This is fucking great, exactly the kind of oddball shit I needed. Must grab the lp when it comes out.

Just when I think I've heard it all, somebody goes and gets a delay pedal for Christmas...

Oddball indeed! Very wtf

Stuck this on yesterday - I didn't know what to expect really because I'm not familiar with any of the bands mentioned in the thread.

(Except Witchcraft - but I quickly realised this it must be another Witchcraft)

Anyway... This is deadly. Made a very boring DIY job at home much more enjoyable.

Must be just the keys but John Carpenter kept popping into my head.

Yup, Witchcraft from Finland as opposed to Witchcraft from Sweden. The Witchraft (Fin) dude plays live in Beherit these days so  he does, so he does.  There's a fun fact that is bound to get you a point at the next table quiz you attend.

Witchcraft is just basically a Beherit worship band shame all they do is splits and 7"'s instead of getting a full length out some of the material is really good.

That Funerealm Gloom link above sounds a lot like the Necromonarchia Daemonum full length.

..missed ND completely until this thread,  but that album is amazing. Total mank. Same guys I think?

Yup. Never got around to pinpoint that one up actually. I liked the sound  of it.
