This recommendation on the Holy Parish of Doom youtube channel caught my attention with its nice little woodcut artwork. I'm glad I hit play as it sounds really fresh and exciting, which is sadly not generally my experience with doom these days. OK, musically it isn't exactly rewriting the rule book but the wild vocals are fucking great, and there are enough little details in the music to draw your ear in. The vocals are possibly a Marmite proposition, but if you like a bit of insanity and unpredictability in your doom then give it a listen.

Edit. The further in to the demo I get, the more inventive the music becomes. Alter Ego is incredible.

Listening again now and I think it's Martin Walkyer I'm hearing in the vocals.
