I've had this album playing for the last few days. Not sure how well known the band is.  They only existed for a few years back in the late 90s and released a single album, but it's a fantastic album, and one I go back to fairly often. The main guy is now playing in Dispirit but I'm not too familiar with them.

I'm not sure how to best describe it. Atmospheric black metal with some death metal influences in parts of the guitar work. Vocals can be fairly DSBM howling but they fit the music

The standout track for me is "This Entire Fucking Battlefield". Has a pretty good guitar solo too!

Good shout. Great record, definite seminal USBM and one of my early downloads back in the day. Not too sure how it has been received this side of the Atlantic but it made a huge impact on the American scene and is considered a classic. Cool sound they have reminds me of Eastern style BM though much more chaotic. Partly responsible for the hipster invasion of BM unfortunately.
