Speaking of obscure Finnish Doom, I dug out this old CD not too long ago and was much impressed! Think they flew well below the radar at the time...

I'm sure I have one of their CDs. Can't quite remember much about it now,  it's been 15 years since I heard it I would think. Must give that a spin later.

Gnoia is the album I have.

That new song is really good. Doom? I'm not sure,  but certainly an interesting listen.

Ya, that's savage. Had a look there and the album is 2008. Have another tune on now that sounds more trad doom.

That tune took a turn for the odd as well. These guys are great. Will have to go searching.

My only ever run in with the band was on this I Voidhanger collaboration:

Incidentally, "The Borderland Rituals" is available from Aesthetic Death for a modest £3.00 if anybody wants to dig deeper. Possibly the only CD album I have that comes in one of those slimline single cases from back in the '90s?

Interesting to see Aarni on that comp too. They were similarly oddball and their album came out on Firebox around the same time. Another album I need to revisit.

Aarni was a one man thing done by one of the Umbra Nihil guys I think.
Have a few releases by both among the CD stacks. Been a long time since I've listened to either. Must try and locate my copy of the Borderland Rituals and give it another listen.

Artwork on that Yogsothery CD is incredible. Same artist did the equally incredible cover to Sortilege's Métamorphose.
