Finally having a listen to Marcelo Aguirre's  'Conte d'Étonnement' having picked it up a few months ago.  I haven't been on a very experimental buzz for a few years,  been wallowing more in death,  black and doom,  so this is something quite different. Maybe picking up on the more experimental parts of Evil Spirit's 'The Imageless Mirror' EP and running with it.  I think he recorded a load of drums and developed the songs around the beats and it tends to lean towards the cinematic, electronic and ritualistic.  His weird, occasionally tuneless but somehow catchy vocals will be a Marmite affair. I can't see myself reaching for this very often- I prefer the metallic buzz of Evil Spirit- but it's certainly a unique experience that has kept me entertained while the rain poured down outside.

Following it up now with 'The Imageless Mirror'- some truly interesting and unique doom.  Not something you often hear unfortunately.
