I will never stop loving this version...

Godflesh - For Those About To Rock | Various Artists | Deadline Music https://share.google/GX7Xk0vvG6y6wu3ad

Apparently Broadrick plays guitar on track 5 and track 17 (a bonus track/unlisted) on this.  I have never listened to a note of Phoebe Bridgers but will stick this on later anyway to see.

The word 'genius' gets thrown around quite a bit, but this gentleman definitely falls into that category...

Reading that interview I'm very much looking forward to hearing his next thing as much as the last two Godflesh ones.

Same as that, I'm a fan of everything Godflesh have put out so i'm really looking forward to those 2 final albums (no pun intended). Hopefully the new project won't sound like Greymachine (whose sound it kinda sounds like it might touch on), I didn't get in with that at all.

Did it make you feel disconnected?

Greymachine didn't do anything for me either along with a good few of the side projects but his description of it being like Branca got me going I must admit

Yeah, I just found it too abrasive to be honest, most of the JK Flesh stuff is the same for me.

Godflesh, Jesu, Pale Sketcher, Final - I love all that stuff but his more electronic and/or full on material just isn't for me.

I went through a phase of disliking that Greymachine album but on a revisit a while back it clicked with me.  I think I was expecting something much different when it came out originally.  Anyway it doesn't go on much but it isn't bad.
