Sepultura *Final European Show* 3arena, August 9th 2026

It's only my third time there since it stopped being the Point Depot but I'd say there were more people there than the Priest Feast, whenever that was. They're still an underground band, in my mind, particularly since the split and maybe I'm the only one who thinks that, but I thought they were fucking nuts booking that place 😂

They pulled it off, though. Fair fucking play, I say.

Priest Feast my man was 2009 and there were more at that for sure. Priest, Megadeth and Testament. Bit more pulling power there.

Plenty of elbow room at that, I remember. Either way, a band  like Sepultura that pulling that kind of crowd to that venue is an achievement.

I thought the Olympia was a stretch for them on the first retirement gig. I was fearful that they'd be playing to a well empty 3 Arena for this last show. It was amazing to see a band of their scale pull a crowd like they did.

Back in the 90s, the Point was the place for the Metallicas and AC/DCs when they were on form. Now these bands are shite and they can manage the Aviva, Slane and Croke Park! Perhaps I've underestimated these bands popularity or perhaps there is a legitimate move that attracts people to an "event" as opposed to a concert as a music fan only.

It's mad to think that below the Sepultura level tier that bands can barely afford to hit Ireland anymore,let alone a decent sized venue.

Priest Feast was a pretty low turnout from what I remember, most of seated was blacked out and you could pretty much wander around standing without it getting hectic.

I couldn't get into Sepultura at all. Seemed very sterile or something. Not that they phoned it in, but I just can't place it.  Those weird backdrops were AI I'm guessing?

There was more at Priest. We were up near the top tier of seats and only a section was curtained off..
Great to see Sepultura pulling well over 4000 by the looks of it...

Yeah I remarked earlier a low turnout I just meant in terms of the 3Arena and capacity - there was a lot of curtain action, but the floor was healthy and healthy overall I'm sure.

For a band I've seen in the Top Hat, Academy, TBMC, Tivoli, Ambassador, etc, that was a superb turnout, I thought. It's not a venue were you usually see a band playing that style of music. The most upper seating level wasn't open but, apart from the two outside sections, the seating area where I was was pretty full too.

How amazing was it to witness them in the Top Hat man. They hung out for ages out back afterwards. They were as excited to be in Europe, as we were too see and meet them...

I remember being able to walk about the standing area of Priest Feast fairly easily. Sound wasn't good for Testament that day unfortunately, but it was amazing for Priest.

Judas Priest in the same venue 2 years ago seemed way more packed than Priest Feast.

Didn't go to Sepultura myself, glad to hear that it was a great night out though.
