A lad I work with who I will not be going to the gig with got seating tickets and said he doesn't have the option to resell so is this more underhand tactics from TM? I see someone saying on here they paid 138 for standing. I have seen a few standing resale come up for 162 as far as I know you can't resell for above face value in Ireland anymore.

I could be completely wrong here but given ticketmasters reputation I won't give them the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, I think it's that you can't sell for more than you paid rather than face value of ticket, so that 162 is probably what they paid including fees.

I've put a Metallica 2 night seated ticket up for sale on the Ticketmaster resale because I got a 2 night standing,I paid €209 all in for it and if it sells I'll get that back but they have it up for €259

OK, I get it, so they are adding to your asking price and taking the difference, pretty low that...

Yeah on resales the buyer pays the service charge again + VAT on the service charge + a €2.95 handling fee.

Tickets for Deafheaven were €34.90 after fees and I left it until this week and had to buy on resale and paid about €42

So technically TM are selling tickets for above face value or I guess the loop hole is the cost is being split between them and the seller. A standing ticket came up this morning and I added it to the cart to see. The Ticketmaster service charge on it was €21.

That's a scandalous charge for fuck all service!

My Ticketmaster account is still restricted thanks to their bullshit new security check thing and I have no intention of uploading my passport and doing a face scan just to buy fuckin concert tickets.

Customer support was a complete farce, just kept copying and pasting the same shit over and over. Eventually got told to just create a new account with a new email. Fuckin stellar service there TM  :eyeroll:

It's a disgrace that they removed the customer care line and now it's a bot followed by a generic email reply days later. I had an issue were my old Canadian number that I had no access to was the one my account because at some stage without giving any warning they combined all your accounts into one if you had ones for different countries under the same email address.

Went back and forth with the so called customer service here in Ireland for two years and they wouldn't do a thing to help. Was in Canada last month they have a phone line which I called and it took less than 5 minutes to get it resolved.

Companies like these by law should have to provide phone in customer service.

Ticketmaster are the worst of the worst.
Booked the 3arena car park for a gig once through them and they charged a booking fee on that as well.
Pretty Vacant

"Cheap" Standing tickets €138.75 (not resale) there now on Ticketmaster, just got one.

Crazy that is considered cheap now-been keeping an eye and cheapest tickets up to last week were seated tickets for crazy money.Still no support announced.
Pretty Vacant

Public Enemy supported them in Europe last year. PE and Ice Cube supporting them in the US this summer which would be great additions. I doubt the support here is going to be anyone decent since it hasn't been announced already.

Had a nosey there and for cheapest seats I'm seeing 179 euros. Fuck me, for that I'd be expecting an all day two stage mini festival with actual name acts.
